Community Development

EAI works to improve the standard of life of households living in selected parts of Addis Ababa, with the intention of achieving community development through enabling beneficiaries to be self-reliant and self-sufficient.

Women Empowerment

EAI strives to empower women through improving the educational, economic, social & cultural status of women.

Education

We will provide support to increase access to quality education with a primary focus on reducing and eliminating financial barriers for girls’ education. Family members are also equipped with different skillful trainings to increase girl’s access to education and vocations.

Health

EAI is engaged in activities targeted to increase family and public awareness on hygiene and sanitation with emphasis to increase awareness on Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH). We also work towards ensuring access to clean sanitation facilities to family members.

Institutional Capacity Building

EAI collaborate with various actors such as CBOs, CSO and Community members through hosting capacity building trainings, providing consultations on related policies, and engaging in research on diversity and inclusion.

Socio-economical support

EAI works towards social and economic empowerment of vulnerable women and girls through entrepreneurial and life skills development and connect them with the necessary resources to gain socioeconomic independence. We also work with communities and local volunteers in providing aid to vulnerable families on seasonal basis.

Climate Change and Adaptation Awareness

We strive to create and enhance the awareness of the public about the effects of climate change, how to alleviate the problem and adaptation mechanisms.

Cross Cutting Issues

Age and Disability:

EAI consider age and disability as cross cutting issue in all thematic areas. Most vulnerable aged and disabled people will be given priorities in all interventions. In line with this, EAI will also do awareness raising activities for vulnerable aged and disabled people inclusion.
